At the beginning of the competitive program of the World Cup Final on the questions of the press center answered the winner of the previous stage of the World Cup in Holmenkollen, the leader of the Germany’s team.

     - This season is one of the most successful in your career. Behind the Olympics and a hat-trick in Holmenkolene, now you are the second in the overall World Cup. Do you have energy for the final stage?

     - Yes, of course. Sprint and mass start I will run in the red shirt and I am going to get at least a small crystal globe! – After a second, Simon added with a smile: - Perhaps even the big one, but before thinking about it, I want to enjoy two races and evaluate the results.

     - Are you really going to leave sport which complete the season 2009/10?

     - Yes, I am going. I finish my career as a professional athlete at the end of this season. Perhaps, I will take part in some more races finally. In my opinion to finish the career in the period of the highest achievements is great.

     - What are you going to do after this?

     - Together with my friend I am going to conduct classes for the coaches. First of all I will devote more time to family.

     - What’s your impression about Khanty-Mansiysk?

     - This is my seventh visit to Ugra, starting with the World Cup in 2003 (laughs). And each time I enjoy it’s nature! Everything is o’k about Khanty-Mansiysk, you can safely prepare for the races.

     - What can you say about the reconstruction of Nordic Ski Center?

     - Certainly, the changes have benefited, although the tracks have not changed much. But the stadium, the area for dressing athletes and warm-up circle are all very well thought out.

     - Is the stadium ready for holding World Championships in 2011?

     - I think that Khanty-Mansiysk is already ready for such competitions.
