Ugra with honor will hold the next World Championship in Khanty-Mansiysk. It was said at the closing ceremony of the World Cup Final 2009/10 by the Governor of Ugra Natalia Komarova. "Today we have reached the finish line of biathlon battles, but, as in any business, its completion is the beginning of the next phase. I am sure that the leaders of international and national biathlon organizations do not doubt that Ugra with honor will hold the World Championship. We will save energy and enthusiasm gathered in these days, and will happily welcome everyone in 2011, even those who are now saying goodbye to the great sport ", - underlined the Governor.

     The head of the region noted that for a whole week the athletes, coaches, organizers, people of Ugra and millions of television viewers were watching the starts with interest. They celebrated victories, supported those who had not all worked out.

     President of the International Biathlon Union Anders Besseberg thanked the team of the organizing committee for holding the final World Cup at the high level: "I think that everyone in those days experienced the hospitality of Khanty-Mansiysk. With impatience I will wait for the next meeting next year. He thanked for the enormous contribution to the development of biathlon athletes, completing their sports career, and wished them success in the new role they choose for themselves in the future. "All the other biathletes I wish success in preparing for the new season, and good luck to the organizing committee in holding the championship" - he concluded.

     At the ceremony, the winners of the season were given cups and gifts. The winner of the overall national set-off in the "Nations Cup" of the season-2009/2010 among men teams became the national team of Norway, among women the team of Germany. Women and men team of Russia took second place in the final standings.

     Emil-Hogl Svendsen (Norway) and Magdalena Neuner (Germany) won big "Crystal Globe". Among our fellow citizens of the ten best biathletes to the overall standings of the World Cup were included Olga Zaitseva, Eugene Ustyugov, Ivan Tcherezov, Svetlana Sleptsova was at the eleventh place.

     Small Crystal Globe also had female team on the basis of overall standings in the relay and Russia's Evgeny Ustyugov in mass start.
