Germany's national team is the World Champion

in the mixed relay.

The winner in the mixed relay and owner of the world champion title in this discipline has become Germany's national team, members of which were: Simone Hauswald, Magdalena Neuner, Simon Shemp, Arnd Peiffer. This race has completed the final phase of the program of the World Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk.

Germany's national team seized the leadership from the very first stage despite the used three additional shots Hauswald passed the relay to Neuner with the 15-seconds advantage over her nearest pursuer of the Ukrainian team.

And during the further struggle the team of Germany only increased its advantage, never allowing opponents to revive the intrigue in the fight for gold medals. Tora Berger gave the Norway team an opportunity to be on the second place, and the male half of the team tried only to hold this position what they did very well.

But the struggle for the bronze medal proved to be much harder. Carl-Johan Bergman, who ran for the national team of Sweden at the final stage, took the baton only the sixth, but missing ones during two shootings, managed to bring his team to the third place. A desperate chase, which was set off for Bergman on the last lap by Russian athlete Ivan Tcherezov and Martin Fourcade (France), was unsuccessful

Final protocol of the race you can see here.

Press Conference of the Mixed relay winners

Hauswald Simone (Germany):
- I worried very much, because I was running the first. There were some problems with shooting, but the skis did not disappoint. I was pleased that I was able to pass the relay to Magdalena Neuner with a good advantage.

FERRIE Bjorn (Sweden):
- This race was seriously hard, especially in its last lap, because we had an advantage over the Russian team only in 10 seconds. Fortunately, we managed to keep it.

Neuner Magdalena (Germany):

Generally this season for the team became very successful. We have many strong and talented biathletes. It is very difficult to get into the team, and only the most deserving can be there.

FLASH-INTERVIEW

Lucas HOFER (Italy):

- Today, it has been a difficult race, the skis ran on very slowly on this snow, besides I didn\t manage with the standing shooting.

Maxim Tchoudov (Russia):

- I failed today in the shooting. And with the running too. But we must be ready for anything, so I believed till the end that the gap can be reduced and overcome. We must make an attempt to win, no matter what. And I tried to do just that.

Michael SHLEZINGR (Czech Republic):

- Quite a good race. I am pleased with the result. Of course, it has been difficult, but I'm happy because I have thought that I would run much slower. Today is a great weather, and I feel good.

Emil-Hogl SVENDSEN (Norway):

- I shot 10 to 10, so very happy. This is the last race of the season, and I'm glad!

Karin OBERHOFER (Italy):

- Could not do on the track that I wanted - could run much better. Skis ran very slowly, otherwise it is not as cold today as in the previous two days.

Anna Lebedeva (Kazakhstan):

- It was a hard race today it was very difficult to run because of snow. There was no hope for running only for shooting. Unfortunately, on the shooting line I wasn't good.

Anna-Carin Olofsson-Zidek (Sweden):

- Quite a good race - it is true, my shooting was not ideal. I still have a few more races, so the World Cup Final is not the end of the season for me.

Marina Lebedeva (Kazakhstan):

- It was especially difficult to overtake, so I had to be behind the rivals for a very long time. After the Olympics, I needed time to recover. Now I feel that the shape is coming back to me.

Marie-Laure Brunet (France):

-Start was given to me hard. 2 misses at the beginning played its role, and because of the snow skis were running badly.

Agnieszka Chile (Poland):

- I am very tired. This was a difficult race, but everything went just fine. Neither snow, nor the weather, disturbed me. The audience atmosphere is absolutely amazing. I feel fine.

Daria Domrachava (Belarus):

- A terrible weather, poor gliding of the skis. Today, I am not very happy with my shooting. I am very pleased that the season is over.

Barbara TOMESHOVA (Czech Republic):

- It was very difficult. I feel great, because for me the season has just ended. My shooting was not perfect: I made a mistake on the first shooting. The snow did not disturb me, but on the track it was cool.

Anastasia Kuzmina (Slovakia):

- I would not call the race good for me. Perhaps the weather played its role.

Elisa Gasparini (Switzerland):

- I didn't have any problems on the road because of snow. But the shooting was not good: one miss in prone and three standing.
